Silver Bay By JoJo Moyes
When Mike Dormer travels from London to a small sea side town in Australia he thinks it will be an easy job to kick-start a seaside resort for his company. He is totally unprepared for the strange and quirky characters he is going to meet there. Liza McCullen, an enigmatic whale watching boat owner, Hannah, her 10 year old daughter and the famous shark catching Aunt Kathleen. As the development begins to take on a momentum of its own, Mike and Liza's worlds collide.
Mike is a mild mannered Englishmen and is not prepared for the eccentric people he meets in this beautiful spot of Australia, the beaches are unspoiled, and the bay people have great respect and love for the wild life around them. I have liked everything I've read so far by JoJo Moyes, and this book did not disappoint. I especially loved the relationship the local people have with the ocean and the creatures that live in it.
