Dead Zone by Robison Wells
Zasha and Fyodor are the Russians latest secret weapons in their attempt to become the super powers of the world. The Russians have taken over Alaska and are making a move into the rest of the United States.
Aubrey, Jack and the other lambdas are the United States last hope in uncovering how the Russian's secret weapon deactivates any electrical or mechanical object including computers, jets and wristwatches. Even though most of the lambdas are not even old enough to be in the military, they have been "volunteered" to join and help save their country. Their task is not an easy one, not only do they need to find the Russian's secret weapon, but they need to find a way to destroy it as well.
Dead Zone was a good read even though the characters were somewhat predictable and their achievements were a little over the top. This book is actually a sequel to "Blackout", but can be read as a stand alone.
