Neither Tashi nor Ramil is looking forward to their upcoming marriage, but both are willing to submit in order to unite their people against a growing enemy kingdom. Culture clash proves to be too much for the pair, but just as Tashi is about to call off the union and return home, she and Ramil are captured by their shared enemy. They must put their differences aside and join forces in first escaping and then making the long journey back to Ramil's homeland before misunderstandings in their respective kingdoms about their disappearances lead to war across the land.
If you want a read that is entertaining but simple, this one would do the job nicely. Its not very original, but that doesn't take away from the book. There is adventure, romance and just enough action to keep it interesting.

Where should I start the story of my life? I haven't made any great discoveries or changed history. I am just an ordinary person.
Doris, a 96 year old, didn't know where to begin her story for her only living relative, Jenny. Doris began by opening her red address book and telling the story of those listed there. By telling about her relationship with many of the entries, her life was retold for her niece, Jenny. It had been a long and good life.
A very interesting book that begins in the 30's and moves forward throughout Doris's life. I am sure we could also have many good memories if we followed her example and opened our address book and shared the stories of the people in there.
